Veteran Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw has bravely opened up about being a survivor of domestic violence, revealing how the painful experience has fueled her lifelong commitment to advocacy and truth-telling.
Speaking on the With Chude show, Kate shared that her trauma has not silenced her but instead empowered her voice to fight for others in similar situations.
“I dedicate my life to always speaking the truth,” she said passionately, emphasizing that no amount of money or fame can compromise her convictions.
“Money will never be my lord or master—it will serve me, not the other way around.”
Kate explained that her journey has equipped her with the grace, courage, and strength to speak up, even in the face of adversity.
“If God has given you some kind of favor and courage and you’ve been through stuff, you can’t be quiet,” she stated.
Her advocacy is marked by firmness, honesty, and respect, as she urges society to pay attention to the pain and suffering of victims.
“Let me speak—respectfully, but truthfully—so you see it hurts, people are suffering. What are you doing about it?”
