Kaduna Police Covering Up Kidnapping to Protect Their Paymasters” Prof Odinkalu Exposes CP
Former NHRC Chairman, Prof. Chidi Odinkalu, has accused Kaduna State Commissioner of Police, Muhammad Rabiu, of deliberately hiding the truth about the mass abduction of churchgoers in Kajuru LGA. Sharing videos on his verified X account, Odinkalu revealed that the CP personally visited the affected community, inspected churches, and spoke to survivors, but refused to publicly confirm the incident—allegedly due to pressure from powerful interests in Abuja.
Odinkalu suggested the police were following a script dictated by external “paymasters” who had invested heavily in controlling the narrative. The mass kidnapping occurred during church services in Kurmin Wali, with over 100 worshippers abducted, some later released.
The allegations have intensified calls for an independent investigation into the abduction and for transparency from security agencies, as Kaduna continues to grapple with repeated bandit attacks and insecurity.
