Finland Opens 2025 Work Permit Portal for Nigerians With ₦2.2m Minimum Monthly Salary
Finland’s Immigration Service (Migri) has opened the 2025 application portal for its Seasonal Work Permit, giving Nigerians and other foreign workers access to well-paying opportunities in agriculture, forestry, and tourism. The programme, created to tackle Finland’s rising demand for seasonal labour, offers legal employment for up to nine months with a reported minimum monthly salary of €2,700 (about ₦2.2 million).
Two permit types are available: a short-term Seasonal Work Visa for jobs under 90 days—processed through the Finnish Embassy in Abuja—and a Seasonal Work Residence Permit for work lasting up to nine months, submitted via the EnterFinland portal.
Applicants must secure a job offer beforehand and provide a valid passport, proof of accommodation, and evidence that the job falls within approved sectors. The scheme is open to both skilled and unskilled workers from countries including Nigeria, Ghana, India, and the Philippines.
