PDP’s Demola Olarewaju Blasts Tinubu Over “False” Revenue & Naira Claims
Demola Olarewaju, the Special Assistant on Digital Media and Strategy to PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, has strongly criticized President Bola Tinubu’s recent economic claims.
In a statement shared on his official X handle, Olarewaju dismissed Tinubu’s declaration that his administration met the 2025 revenue target and that the Naira had appreciated from ₦1,950 to ₦1,450 per dollar.
“Bola Tinubu and his APC gang want to shamelessly propagate untruths, half-truths and blatant falsehoods as a precursor to rigging the next elections, but Nigerians will reject and resist them,” Olarewaju wrote.
He further compared the situation to U.S. politics, stating that even Donald Trump “can do his worst”, but economic realities cannot be hidden.
Olarewaju warned that such false narratives damage the credibility of the Presidency and erode public trust. He accused the APC of manipulating public perception ahead of the 2025 general elections, while ordinary Nigerians continue to face inflation, rising prices, and currency instability.
According to him, citizens are fully aware of the economic hardships, and no amount of political spin can erase their daily struggles.
