Nigerians react as Priscilla Ojo converts to Islam after marriage to Juma Jux.
The conversion of Nollywood Iyabo Ojo’s daughter, Priscilla Ojo, to Islam after marriage to her husband, Juma Jux has caused a stir on social media.
This comes after Juma Jux whose real name is Juma Mussa Mkambala, and the husband of Priscilla Ojo, opened up about his wife’s decision to embrace Islam following their wedding.
He described the journey as one that took time, patience, and spiritual guidance.
“I had a clear vision of how I wanted my wedding to be—I even dreamt about it. I consider myself fortunate to have found someone who shares my values. Convincing my wife to embrace Islam wasn’t easy at first. However, I was receiving guidance from religious leaders who taught me how to approach the conversation with her. Eventually, with patience and understanding, she came to accept it.” he revealed in a recent interview.
Following the disclosure, many Nigerians expressed disappointment, as they questioned her reason for giving up her religion so easily. Others however, applauded her for honouring her husband by becoming part of his religion.
An angry user blunted: “She was never a Christain.”
“Tinubu wife remain a Christian despite marrying a Muslim….I dnt see why one hv to change religion bcus of the other,” another user commented.
“Her life ! Her Choice ! As for me I can never change my religion for anything!” one user, remarked
