  • 1 Million Bibles to Be Shared Nationwide in Honour of Seyi Tinubu at 40.

In what organisers describe as a gesture to promote moral rebirth and ethical leadership among Nigerian youths, one million copies of the Holy Bible will be distributed across the country in honour of Barrister Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The initiative was announced on Sunday during a thanksgiving service held at the National Christian Centre, Abuja, and coordinated by Hon. Belusochukwu Enwere, National Chairman of the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN).

Enwere said the Bible distribution project was not to celebrate an individual but to serve as a spiritual investment in the nation’s moral revival.

“The one million Bible project is a gift to the body of Christ and a seed for moral transformation. Through this effort, we hope to restore integrity, compassion, and love for humanity among young Nigerians,” he stated.

  • There’s genocide against poor Nigerians, Muslims, Christians, children – Sowore tells U.S govt .

Human rights activist and African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has accused both the United States and the Nigerian government of hypocrisy in their response to the ongoing killings across the country.

Sowore said Nigeria’s violence is caused by bad governance and insecurity, not religion, warning against portraying it as persecution of Christians or Muslims.

He was reacting to renewed calls by some U.S. lawmakers, urging Washington to label Nigeria as a “Country of Particular Concern” (CPC) over alleged Christian persecution.

According to him, such claims are misleading and fail to reflect the real situation in Nigeria.

“There’s genocide against the poor, against Muslims, against Christians, against children. Trying to separate it by religion is dishonest,” Sowore said.

He argued that Nigeria does not identify victims by religion, saying, “The country doesn’t check who carries a Bible or a Koran before counting the dead.”

Sowore also criticised the U.S. for ignoring similar crises elsewhere.

“Why is the U.S silent about Gaza, where Muslims are being killed by Israel? That’s international hypocrisy,” he said.

  • Veteran highlife musician, Bright Chimezie has advised Nigerians to rethink the growing trend of relocating abroad in search of greener pastures, insisting that there are equally valuable opportunities within the country

In a recent interview, He said many Nigerians wrongly assume that life is easier overseas but often end up facing harsh realities when they get there.

“Our problem is right here. We keep helping people over there because we think the grass is greener on the other side. But it’s not,” he said

“I’ve travelled quite a bit & I can tell you there are no more opportunities there. When you get there, you start from the bottom, sometimes even washing toilets just to survive.

He further lamented that colonial influence and the mindset it left behind have made many Nigerians undervalue their own country.

“When the white people came, it affected our mentality & development. If we studied biology & mathematics with the same passion we use to read the Bible, our society would be far better, He added.

  • Senior pastor and teacher, Alexander Victor, has stirred fresh debate over Christian doctrines after declaring that “hell fire” does not exist, insisting the Bible makes a clear distinction between hell and the lake of fire.

Speaking on the Clarity Zone podcast, Pastor Victor said: “There’s nothing called hell fire. Jesus alluded to certain fires but they are not hell. Hell is generally known as the place of the dead. There’s hell and there’s the lake of fire. There’s nothing called hell fire.”

Citing Revelation chapter 20, he explained that hell itself will ultimately face judgment. “According to Revelations chapter 20, hell was cast into the lake of fire. Hell itself will be judged. Hell is a place of the dead. Everybody who has died, believer and unbeliever, are in hell. There’s nobody in heaven. If they were in heaven, where are they rising first from?”

His remarks challenge widely held Christian teachings on the afterlife, particularly the concept of eternal punishment in “hell fire.”

  • AGG Slams APC League of Professionals Over Attacks on Primate Ayodele

The Alliance for Good Governance (AGG) has strongly criticized the APC League of Professionals (ALP) over its recent response to Primate Elijah Ayodele’s prophecies concerning President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing ALP’s position as “a shameful display of ignorance, misinformation, and falsehood.”

In a statement signed by its president, Sola Johnson, AGG accused ALP of embarrassing itself by sponsoring media publications against the cleric, who has consistently issued spiritual counsel and warnings to Nigerian leaders.

“Day in and day out, the man of God is criticized for his prophecies, but this particular one by ALP is laughable. It reeks of ignorance, misunderstanding, and drunken misinformation. For a group that claims to be professionals, they have only succeeded in presenting themselves like stark illiterates and rumour peddlers,” Johnson said.

He dismissed as false and fabricated the claim that Primate Ayodele told President Tinubu not to contest in the 2027 elections.

“How can someone who has been advising on strategies that could make the president win or lose suddenly tell him not to contest? It is embarrassing that ALP would stoop so low to concoct lies,” he added.

On Prophecies About Trump and the Economy

Responding to Ayodele’s caution that Tinubu should be careful in his dealings with former U.S. President Donald Trump, AGG insisted the advice was both timely and crucial.

“This is a prophecy the president himself should take note of to make informed decisions. What exactly is paining this amateur group in this message? They are clearly more interested in attacking the prophet than protecting the president’s interest,” the group noted.

AGG also condemned ALP’s stance that prophets should not speak on economic matters, describing it as “evidence of serious illiteracy.”

“The Bible itself is full of examples where men of God shaped national economies. Joseph’s foresight saved Egypt from famine, Elijah foretold economic recovery in Israel. To say a prophet cannot speak on the economy is shallow reasoning,” Johnson argued.

On security matters, AGG clarified that Ayodele has expressed support for the idea of state police, but warned against its potential misuse by politicians.

The group further cautioned President Tinubu not to be swayed by groups like ALP, alleging they were more interested in undermining his administration than ensuring his success.

“This group is not after Tinubu’s success; they are after his failure. By trying to turn him against the word of God, they are pushing him toward defeat. The president must be very careful of such misguided elements,” Johnson warned.

  • It’s Cultural, Not Biblical, for Men to Provide for Women – Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo.

The founder of David’s Christian Centre, Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo, has urged women to stop depending on men for financial support, stressing that such expectations are rooted in culture, not scripture.

In a recent sermon, Okonkwo explained that the Bible encourages hard work and personal responsibility rather than dependency. He argued that women should not expect men to cater to their financial needs, reminding them that scripture clearly states, “He that does not work should not eat.”

The clergyman questioned why many women who were self-reliant before marriage suddenly shift the burden of survival to their husbands or partners. He described this mindset as “p++r people talk,” pointing out that individuals from wealthy backgrounds are usually raised with the mentality of self-sufficiency.

Okonkwo also criticized women who define their worth by what men can provide, warning that this often leads to exploitation and disrespect. According to him, women who set low standards based on material demands, such as insisting a man must buy them little gifts to gain attention, end up being mistreated.

“The way some of you are being treated is because of how you’ve rated yourself. If you say, ‘If you don’t buy me popcorn, I won’t come,’ then don’t be surprised when they pop you like corn. You’re disgracing your family,” he cautioned.

  • Apostle Johnson Suleman Sparks Reaction as He Certifies a Workout Style Within Marriage Not a Sin.

The Senior Pastor of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has sparked heated debate after declaring that oral sex is not sinful when practiced between married couples.

Speaking during a recent church service, the cleric addressed a member’s question on the subject, insisting that the Bible does not forbid such intimacy in marriage. “Anything you do with your wife indoors is not a sin. So long as it’s your wife and both of you agreed,” Suleman said in the now-viral video.

“I know many will not agree with me, but oral sex is not a sin,” he added. Suleman explained that sexual acts only become sinful when linked to fetish, ritual, or diabolical practices, stressing that the marital bed remains sacred. “When the Bible was talking about the wife of your youth, what do you think the Bible was saying? “So long as it is not fetish, a ritual, or diabolical, it’s not wrong.

I know that many of you will say you can’t use the same mouth you use to serve God to perform oral sex, but don’t you lie and gossip with the same mouth?” he asked. The pastor’s remarks have drawn mixed reactions across social media.

While some described his position as open-minded and practical, others condemned it as inappropriate. An X user, , wrote: “This one na pastor?…giving head is not a sin keh… Nawa o.” Another, , commented: “Oral sex is disgusting, I wonder how human beings discovered they could do that.”

Defending Suleman, tweeted: “Yes, it is not sin as long as you’re doing it with your wife or husband.” Others, however, dismissed his stance entirely. reacted: “Jail up this man asap. Like see what a man of God is saying.”

  • This Is No Longer A Political Matter – Taraba Gov Goes Spiritual Over Deputy’s Illness.

The governor of Taraba State, Agbu Kefas, has urged residents to pray for the recovery of his deputy, Aminu Alkali.
    Agbu Kefas
Kefas, while addressing the prolonged absence of his deputy, in a statewide broadcast, declared that “this is not a political matter but a human one.”

Speaking publicly on the issue for the first time on Monday, Kefas acknowledged growing concern that the state has been without an active deputy governor for several months.

“I understand the concerns and questions, and I want to speak to you directly, not just as your governor, but as a fellow human being guided by faith, morality, and conscience,” he said.

Drawing from his military background, the governor recalled the spirit of esprit de corps, standing together in service without regard to religion, ethnicity, or background.

He urged residents to pray for Alkali, who fell ill while on official duty.

Quoting from both Christian and Islamic scripture, Kefas appealed for unity: “In the Bible, Galatians 6:2 teaches us to ‘bear one another’s burdens.’ In the Qur’an, Surah Al-Ma’idah (5:32) reminds us that ‘whoever saves one life, it is as though he has saved all mankind.’”

While noting that the constitution outlines the proper legal process, he said laws alone were insufficient without morality and conscience.

“Now, in his moment of need, it is our turn to stand by him. Let us lift him in prayer, support his family, and show that in Taraba State, leadership is about humanity before politics. I have no hidden agenda in the way we are handling this matter. If the need arises to act according to the constitution regarding his position, I will not hesitate to do so in the right way. For now, our duty is clear, to care, to support, and to let compassion lead us,” Kefas stated.

  • Why I Was Forcefully Taken To Okija Shrine Days Before My Election Ngige.

Former Governor of Anambra State, Chris Ngige, has disclosed that he was forcefully taken to the Okija shrine to swear an oath a few days before the election that made him governor.
Council Chairmen Are More Corrupt Than Governors - Ngige
Naija News reports that Ngige was the governor of Anambra State from 2003 to 2006.

Speaking in an interview with Vanguard, the trained medical doctor disclosed that he was taken to the shrine to swear an oath of loyalty before he became a Governor.

He, however, stated that when he became governor and a security report revealed that they were engaging in nefarious acts at the shrine, he was able to dismantle the place with then-President Olusegun Obasanjo.

He said, “I was taken to Okija shrine by force. By midnight, I didn’t know where we were going, and it was a few days to my election. So they said we must go there to swear an oath of loyalty. Of course, I know that those shrines and those small deities don’t work. God Almighty is above all of them. So I went with my Bible and holy water. When we got there and I looked at what they were doing, one of them now opted to go and swear for me.

“I said, fine and he did. But when I became governor and the security report showed what they were doing there, swindling people, I don’t know how it happened, but the then president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo gave instruction to my CP through the IGP, that the place should be dismantled. The CP called me and we went and leveled the place. So, that particular shrine is no longer there. But there are so many little shrines in Okija. It’s now that people have forsaken those things, having noted that it was being operated by a swindling gang.”

  • Church Demolition: Deeper Life Rejects N10m Offer, Demands Land Reallocation.

The church is also requesting the protection of its members while they continue to engage in lawful activities on the disputed property, pending the resolution of the ongoing matter.
    Deeper Life Bible Church
The Deeper Life Bible Church has demanded appropriate compensation for the demolition of its building situated at 36 Aina Street, Lawanson, in the Surulere area of Lagos State.

The church is also requesting the protection of its members while they continue to engage in lawful activities on the disputed property, pending the resolution of the ongoing matter.

Speaking to journalists on Friday in Lagos, the church’s spokesperson, Mr Taiwo Kupolati, confirmed that officials from the Lagos State Building Control Agency, LASBCA, demolished the church structure on May 27.

“Our members are concerned about the legality of the demolition. To ensure fair compensation, the church is calling for an independent and thorough valuation of the affected property,” Kupolati said.

He also disclosed that the church had turned down an earlier offer of N10 million as compensation from the Surulere Local Government. Instead, the church is proposing an alternative arrangement, either appropriate monetary compensation based on market value or the allocation of a new parcel of land within the same vicinity to allow members to continue their religious activities without disruption.

Kupolati added that the church has lodged a formal complaint with the Acting Inspector-General of Police at Zone 2 Headquarters, seeking protection from any form of intimidation or harassment as the legal process unfolds.

“As a peace-loving organisation, we are pursuing legal avenues to address this issue. While LASBCA is said to have acted independently, there are indications that the local government had previously expressed interest in the land,” he said.

Meanwhile, Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr Gbenga Omotoso, clarified that the state government was not involved in the demolition exercise and maintains a cordial relationship with the church.
