EXCLUSIVE: Female Police Officers In Enugu Forced To Pay N5,000–N10,000 For 70th Nigerian Women Police Anniversary, Threatened With Transfers
Female officers in the Enugu State Police Command are reportedly being pressured to pay compulsory levies for the Nigerian Women Police 70th Anniversary Celebration scheduled for December 4. An internal memo circulating on WhatsApp instructed female personnel to contribute: N10,000 and above for senior officers and N5,000 for Inspectors and Rank-and-File. Payments are to be submitted to a designated First Bank account (Theresa Eneh Chioma) with proof of payment sent in for “proper accountability.” The directive, said to be creating tension within the command, also urged officers to attend the event in large numbers, stating that branded T-shirts have already been arranged.
