President Bola Tinubu received a security briefing from the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, at the Presidential Villa — their first official meeting since Shaibu’s appointment and decoration. The briefing focused on the security situation in the North-East and other parts of the country.

Shaibu, who recently visited the region for an on-the-spot assessment, assured that Nigerians should expect improved security nationwide. The President had earlier charged all new service chiefs to deliver results, collaborate effectively, and tackle emerging threats in the North-Central, North-West, and South using modern technology.
