I Underwent BBL Surgery for My Mental Health — Actress Uche Ogbodo.

Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has revealed why she opted for body enhancement surgery, saying it was a personal decision to regain confidence and protect her mental health.

Speaking in an interview the mother of three explained that her body changed significantly after childbirth, leaving her unhappy with her appearance.

“Growing up, I was b¥sty, but I never had an hourglass figure. Having babies made things worse. After my third child, I didn’t like the way I looked. I felt I owed it to myself to be happy and confident. I did the surgery for me, not anyone else for my mental health, to feel good and enough,” she said.

Ogbodo emphasized that she chose to be transparent about her procedure, unlike many celebrities who keep such transformations hidden. According to her, honesty is important because public figures serve as role models.

“In this country, people are hardly transparent, especially celebrities. You’re a star, but you lie to those who admire you. Why should you disappear and return with a perfect body, pretending you were born like that? I believe in encouraging women with my own experiences,” she added.

Speaking about her butt enlargement, the actress noted that undergoing three cesarean sections had altered her physique, making it difficult to maintain her body naturally. “Nobody is perfect, especially mothers who have gone through surgeries. I did mine three times. I won’t just vanish and come back with a flat tummy and round hips without admitting I worked on myself,” she explained.

Ogbodo further disclosed that her husband fully supported her decision, understanding her struggles. On the risks involved, she said, “There’s danger in everything, even in having malaria. But I wasn’t afraid because I was in the right hands.”
