Three unidentified men have been found dead in their apartment on Olateju Street, Lekki Phase One, Lagos.
The incident, which occurred in the early hours of Sunday, has left residents in shock, according to a report from The Punch.
The victims, believed to be casual workers who earned a living through errands and daily labor within the neighborhood, reportedly lived together in a makeshift structure.
According to residents, the men were asleep when assailants stormed their room, dragged them outside, and attacked them with machetes.
A resident, who identified himself simply as Alfred but declined further details, said, “The boys were known as Laboure's in the area.
On Sunday morning, one of their colleagues raised an alarm, and when people rushed to the scene, the three of them were found in a pool of blood with machete cuts all over their bodies.”
Another resident, a member of the Lekki Estate Residents Association, confirmed that the incident created panic in the community. He added that security measures are now being reinforced.
Although the motive behind the killings remains unclear, community sources suspect it could be linked to cult-related clashes or a dispute involving the victims.
