Hollywood Veteran Alapini Reveals Struggles of Campaigning for Tinubu: “Many of Us Fell Sick”

In an exclusive chat on FeelrightNews TV, veteran Nollywood actor Ganiu Nafiu, popularly known as Alapini, opened up about his journey in the movie industry and his tough experience campaigning for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The actor revealed that Tinubu’s loss in Lagos during the elections was largely due to campaign agents who failed to deliver as expected.

“At that time in Lagos, he lost when he wasn’t supposed to, but some people he sent didn’t deliver well,” Alapini said.

He recalled how challenging the campaign was, with massive opposition everywhere they went. The stress of moving around, rallying support, and facing resistance took a heavy toll.

According to him, many campaigners, including himself, fell ill after the exercise.

“When we got back home, many of us fell sick — including me. I had to visit the hospital twice and took the first five days to fully recover before going back to work,” he revealed.

Alapini’s testimony highlights the hidden sacrifices entertainers make when stepping into politics, often risking their health for causes they believe in.
