PDP BoT, Zoning Committee Meet Ahead Of NEC
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees (BoT) and Convention Zoning Committee held separate meetings in Abuja on Monday ahead of the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) session scheduled for later today.
The zoning committee, chaired by Bayelsa Governor Duoye Diri, met at Legacy House to finalise decisions on the zoning of key party offices and the 2027 presidential ticket, which will be presented to the NEC for ratification.
At Wadata Plaza, the BoT urged unity among members and called for the November national convention in Ibadan to proceed as scheduled.
This comes after PDP governors, at their meeting in Gusau on August 23, reaffirmed support for the November 15 convention and warned against attempts by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike and others to derail the process.
