PDP NEC Confirms Damagum As Substantive Chairman The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has confirmed Umar Damagum as its substantive National Chairman. The confirmation was made on Monday during the party’s 102nd NEC meeting in Abuja, after he was sworn in by the National Legal Adviser, Kamaldeen Ajibade. Damagum, who became acting chairman in March 2023 following the suspension of Senator Iyorchia Ayu, thanked the NEC and the National Working Committee (NWC) for their support. In a communiqué, the NEC said the decision recognised Damagum’s role in stabilising the party.
