A Ghanaian media personality has been arrested after a viral video showed him physically assaulting a woman. The Ghana Police Service confirmed the arrest of Christford Affadu Danful, also known as Ekow Black, through the Criminal Investigation Department. He was apprehended on Thursday, 15 January 2026, following an intelligence-led operation by the Inspector-General of Police’s Special Cyber Vetting Team after the video spread on social media. Investigations indicate that the suspect and the victim, who previously lived together, had ongoing disputes that escalated into verbal and physical abuse.
