According to the Police, the arrest was carried out on Thursday, January 15, 2026, by the Criminal Investigation Department through an intelligence-led operation by the Inspector-General of Police’s Special Cyber Vetting Team.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect and the woman, who previously lived together, had a history of disputes that allegedly escalated from verbal confrontations to physical assaults.
Danful is currently in lawful custody and is expected to be arraigned in court to face charges in line with Ghanaian law.
