Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has sworn in Abdul-Ganiyu Obasa, son of the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, as the substantive Chairman of Agege Local Government. During the ceremony at Lagos House, Ikeja, the governor cautioned the new chairman against divisive leadership, urging him to embrace inclusive governance and focus on grassroots development that delivers tangible benefits to residents. Sanwo-Olu emphasised discipline, performance, visibility, and compassion as core leadership values, amid opposition claims that the succession was a carefully orchestrated political arrangement following the resignation of former chairman Tunde Azeez on health grounds.
