Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has officially sworn in Abdul-Ganiyu Obasa, son of the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, as Chairman of Agege Local Government. During the ceremony held at Lagos House, Ikeja, the governor cautioned the new chairman against divisive tendencies and stressed the importance of inclusive, people-centred governance at the grassroots. Sanwo-Olu emphasised discipline, accountability, and performance as core leadership values, while acknowledging concerns raised by opposition parties over the circumstances surrounding Obasa’s emergence following the resignation of former chairman Tunde Azeez due to health reasons.
