Bayero University Kano Releases Revised Guidelines for PhD and Master’s Students Seeking Postgraduate Amnesty

Bayero University Kano (BUK) has issued updated guidelines for postgraduate students in PhD and academic Master’s programmes who exceeded the approved duration of their studies and are seeking amnesty. The university directed affected students to submit a formal letter requesting amnesty, addressed to the Provost of the College of Postgraduate Studies and routed through their respective Heads of Department. BUK clarified that applications should no longer be sent to the Vice-Chancellor, correcting an earlier notice that caused confusion. The institution urged prompt compliance and wide dissemination of the revised instructions to avoid further academic complications.
