ANOTHER NYC SUBWAY HORROR: ARSONIST SETS SLEEPING MAN ON FIRE, CALMLY WALKS AWAY
It happened again.
A 56-year-old homeless man was sleeping on a northbound 3 train when an unidentified suspect boarded at 34th Street-Penn Station around 3:05 a.m. Monday.
The suspect stepped into the train car, set the victim on fire, and calmly exited before the doors closed.
He then fled on another northbound train.
The entire attack took seconds.
The victim was rushed to New York-Presbyterian with significant burn injuries.
Police released surveillance images showing the suspect in a grey jacket, black hat, black pants, and carrying a black backpack.
This comes just weeks after a woman was set ablaze on a Chicago subway by a man with 50 prior arrests who was on electronic monitoring.
Two major American cities.
Two people set on fire on public transit.
This is what collapse looks like.
