Why I Don’t Use Public Swimming Pools

I avoid public swimming pools for one major reason: hygiene. Many people treat public pools like private bedrooms—some even go as far as having s*x in them. Not only is this extremely disrespectful, it’s also disgusting and unsanitary.

People often forget that pools aren’t self-cleaning. Even with chlorine, bodily fluids—including sweat, urine, and yes, semen—don’t just magically disappear. These actions introduce bacteria and can cause infections or skin issues for others. It’s not just about morality—it’s about public health.

Engaging in se*ual activity in a public pool is not only irresponsible, it puts everyone at risk. If you want to be intimate, do it privately. Public spaces are for everyone, and no one should have to swim through someone else's lack of self-control.
