PHOTOS: Culture and Style Shine at 2025 Ojude Oba Festival

A parade of culture, style, glitz, and glamour once again graces the city of Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, as the annual Ojude Oba Festival takes center stage today.

The Ojude Oba Festival is a vibrant celebration held each year by the Ijebu people in Ogun State, Nigeria. It remains one of the country’s most cherished cultural events, steeped in rich history and tradition.

Ojude Oba—meaning The King’s Court—began as a modest gathering of Muslim faithful who came together to pay homage to the Awujale, the traditional ruler of Ijebuland. Over the years, the festival has evolved into a grand spectacle, drawing national and international attention, with a growing commercial appeal.

This year’s festivities are taking place at the Awujale Pavilion (also known as the Oba Adetona Pavilion) in Ijebu Ode.
