Inside the U.S. Peace Plan for Gaza and Israel (2025)

The United States has unveiled a 20-point peace roadmap aimed at ending the war in Gaza and setting a path toward lasting stability between Israelis and Palestinians.

Here’s what the plan actually includes 👇

🕊️ Phase 1: Ceasefire & Hostage Release

A full ceasefire begins, followed by phased hostage and prisoner exchanges. Israeli military operations would pause while humanitarian aid flows freely into Gaza.

🏛️ New Gaza Administration

Gaza’s civil control would shift from Hamas to a temporary technocratic Palestinian administration — independent professionals backed by Arab and international partners.

The goal: restore public services and rebuild trust.

🪖 Security & Disarmament

The plan calls for Hamas to disarm, with security handled by a new Palestinian police force supported by an international coalition.

Israel would gradually withdraw once strong security guarantees are in place.

💧 Humanitarian & Reconstruction Effort

Billions of dollars in international aid — from the U.S., Egypt, Qatar, Turkey, and the EU — would rebuild Gaza’s homes, hospitals, and infrastructure.

A UN-supervised body would monitor how funds are spent.

🕊️ Political Pathway

The plan outlines a “pathway to Palestinian self-rule”, not an immediate statehood declaration.

It’s meant to lay the groundwork for future two-state negotiations and regional peace.

⚖️ The Big Questions

  • Can Hamas really give up control and weapons peacefully?
  • Will Israel accept a gradual pullback?
  • Who will enforce the peace when tensions rise again?

For now, the ceasefire and initial hostage exchanges are the first hopeful signs.

But the hardest part — trust and long-term governance — still lies ahead.
