Tinubu Surrounded by the Wrong People, Needs to Reshuffle Cabinet – Malik Ado-Ibrahim
Malik Ado-Ibrahim, the Young Progressives Party (YPP) presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, has criticized President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet, calling for a comprehensive reshuffle to improve governance.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics, Ado-Ibrahim argued that President Tinubu has struggled to deliver on his vision due to the people he has appointed to key positions.
"In my opinion, the president needs to refresh his cabinet. Many of the current members are no longer effective," he said. "You can't assume you're the only one with knowledge—there are people far more capable than I am. But from my perspective, the cabinet needs fresh energy and competence."
He emphasized that successful governance requires more than just filling positions—it requires capable individuals who can translate plans into action.
"You don’t just appoint someone and say, ‘You’re the Health Minister—go do health stuff.’ You need strategic thinkers and effective administrators who can implement policies and instill public confidence," he added.
Ado-Ibrahim’s comments come amid ongoing national debates over the performance and structure of Tinubu’s administration, with growing calls for reform as the country navigates economic and social challenges.
