Bella Shmurda, whose real name is Abiola Ahmed Akinbiyi, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter known for his street conscious lyrics, energetic delivery, and emotional storytelling. Born on January 27, 1997, in Lagos State, Nigeria, Bella Shmurda rose from humble beginnings to become one of the leading voices of Nigeria’s new generation of Afrobeats artists.
Raised in the Okokomaiko area of Lagos, Bella Shmurda grew up in a modest household where survival and ambition shaped his outlook on life. Following the success of “Vision 2020,” Bella Shmurda released a string of successful singles including “Cash App,” which featured Zlatan and Lincoln. The song became a street anthem and further established his reputation as a rising star. His style blends Afrobeats with street pop influences, characterized by emotional vocals and relatable lyrics.

Bella Shmurda’s career has not been without challenges. He was closely associated with the late singer Mohbad, and their friendship was widely known.
