Silent Cradles Episode 2 End
EPISODE 2: THE FACTORY
Halfway down the hallway, a door slammed shut behind Amanda.
Before she could turn, her phone was seized. Another woman stepped forward, her face cold and empty.
“You are not here to take care of babies,” she said.
“You are here to make them.”
Amanda screamed. She begged. She tried to run but there was no exit. Thick doors. Iron locks.
Inside the hidden building, she saw the truth.
Dozens of women.
Some pregnant.
Some crying.
Some silent, like their souls had already left.
That was where she met Bola.
Bola was the boldest among them the one who still spoke. She had been trapped there for over eight years. In that time, she had given birth to six children.
She had none of them.
With shaking hands, Bola told Amanda everything. Wealthy men came regularly with bags of cash. Some babies were taken abroad. Some were given to powerful people. Others were used for rituals.
No records.
No names.
No mercy.
The women were treated like machines. Once a baby was taken, they were forced to recover quickly then start again.
But Amanda refused to accept that fate.
Weeks later, during a delivery night when guards were distracted, a fire broke out in one of the storage rooms. In the chaos, Amanda ran. Bleeding. Barefoot. Afraid.
She escaped.
It took months before she found courage, but when she did, she spoke.
She went to journalists. NGOs. International organizations. She told everything names, locations, hidden rooms.
This time, the truth was too loud to silence.
The orphanage was raided. Foreign media picked up the story. Corrupt officers were exposed. The baby factory was shut down.
Some women were rescued.
Bola was one of them.
Though the pain could never be erased, justice finally knocked on a door that had been sealed for years.
And the orphanage that once wore a mask of kindness was remembered for what it truly was:
A place where silence was sold and babies were stolen.
