ENVY’S PRICE Episode 1

EPISODE 1: WHEN ENVY BECAME HATE

Bola and Amanda were once the kind of friends people admired.

They lived together in Yaba, Lagos, shared one small apartment, cooked together, laughed together, and dreamed about the future. Both were beautiful, loving girls, but life treated them very differently.

Bola’s life flowed easily.

Good things followed her naturally. Men especially wealthy men were drawn to her. They bought her gifts, paid her bills, and treated her like gold. Whatever Bola wanted, she somehow got.

Amanda watched everything.

At first, she was happy for her friend. But slowly, happiness turned into comparison, and comparison turned into bitterness. Amanda struggled. Nothing worked for her. Men made promises but disappeared. Jobs came and failed. Each time Bola smiled, Amanda felt pain.

In her heart, Amanda began to speak evil words.

“Why is it always Bola?”

“I deserve this life more than her.”

“I want everything she has.”

She never said it out loud but jealousy grew like poison inside her.

Then one day, Bola met a very wealthy man who lived in Ikoyi Estate. Within a short time, they got married. Bola moved into a luxurious mansion. Her life changed completely designer clothes, expensive cars, trips abroad.

Yet, Bola’s heart remained kind.

She invited Amanda to Ikoyi one day.

“My friend,” Bola said warmly, “I want to help you. I bought some gifts for you, and I’ll give you cash so you can start a business.”

Amanda smiled on the outside.

But inside, her heart burned with anger.

“How dare she?” Amanda thought.

“After taking everything, she still wants to pity me?”

That night, blinded by envy, Amanda went to a witch.

She told her everything how she wanted Bola’s wealth, her husband, her life. The witch listened carefully and gave her a strange powder.

“Blow this on her face,” the witch said. “She will run mad. Her husband will leave her. Everything she has will come to you.”

Amanda did not hesitate.

When she visited Bola again, Bola hugged her happily, unaware of the evil in Amanda’s heart. In a quick moment, Amanda blew the powder on Bola’s face.

From that day, Bola’s life began to fall apart.

She became confused. She spoke strangely. Doctors could not explain it. Her husband was heartbroken but sent her abroad for treatment.

Meanwhile, Amanda’s life suddenly rose.

Money came easily. She traveled abroad. She lived in comfort and luxury. Everything she once envied became hers.

But before she left, the witch warned her:

“You and Bola must never see each other again. If you do, the spirit will turn back on you.”

Amanda agreed.

She believed she had finally won.
