2027 Election Will Be Easier for Me, Says Abia Governor Alex Otti
Abia State Governor Alex Otti has expressed strong confidence in his re-election, stating that the 2027 governorship election will be smoother for him than the 2023 polls. Speaking at the 2025 Aro Day celebration in Arochukwu, Otti said his confidence is rooted in the visible achievements of his administration rather than campaign promises.
According to the governor, unlike in 2023 when he campaigned on proposed plans, his government can now point to concrete results already seen by the people. He added that while many political actors are already anxious about 2027, his administration remains focused on delivering its four-year mandate, noting that only 30 months have been spent so far.
At the event, the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, praised Otti’s performance, saying the transformation recorded in Abia State over the past two years has attracted recognition both nationally and internationally.
