Larry Ellison Surpasses Elon Musk to Become World’s Richest Person after his fortune increased by over $100 billion in one day.

Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison has overtaken Elon Musk as the world’s richest individual after a sharp surge in Oracle’s share price lifted his fortune to $393bn, edging past Musk’s $384bn.

The 81-year-old billionaire, who holds a 41% stake in Oracle, saw his wealth soar on Wednesday when the software giant posted stronger-than-expected results. Oracle’s stock jumped over 40% in early trading to $340 per share, valuing the company at $958bn. Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index noted it was both the firm’s largest single-day rise & the biggest one-day wealth gain ever recorded.

Ellison & Musk now rank far ahead of Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg & Amazon’s Jeff Bezos. Ellison’s wealth also comes from a stake in Tesla, ownership of the Hawaiian island of Lanai, a sailing team & the Indian Wells Open tennis tournament. He has long ties with Musk, whom he has often been described as mentoring.

He served on Tesla’s board from 2018 to 2022 and invested $1bn in Musk’s purchase of Twitter (now X). According to Walter Isaacson’s biography of Musk, when asked to invest, Ellison replied he would contribute a billion dollars or “whatever you recommend.” Musk is also a frequent guest on Ellison’s Hawaiian island.

Rtd Naval Officer, Isaac Ajibike, Remanded Over ₦211m Fraud Allegations.

A retired naval officer and well-known Ibadan socialite, Commander Isaac Ademola Ajibike (Rtd), has been remanded at the Agodi Correctional Centre by an Ibadan Magistrate Court over multiple allegations bordering on fraud, theft, forgery, and criminal damage involving over ₦211 million.

Ajibike, the promoter of Demmy Jibicks Ventures, a loan company and former President of the Tennis Section of the Ibadan Recreation Club, was arraigned before Magistrate Oyekanmi over a five-count charge related to the fraudulent sale of property, forgery of documents, and theft of high-value construction materials and assets.

According to the charge sheet, Ajibike is accused of defrauding one Kingsley Atere of ₦95 million under the pretense of selling him a property located at No. 1 Ondo Close, Old Bodija Estate, Ibadan. The transaction, allegedly based on false representation, is said to have occurred on May 4, 2022.

He is further alleged to have forged a land sales agreement, which was presented as a loan repayment document to the owner, thereby facilitating the illegal sale of the said property. The third and fourth counts accuse him of fraudulently selling various assets belonging to the Ariyos including a Mercedes Benz car valued at ₦30 million, a 60KVA generator, construction iron rods, roofing sheets, imported cladding, and other building materials with a cumulative value of ₦116.9 million.

Ajibike also faces a fifth charge of willful and unlawful damage to a building, which he allegedly restructured without the owners’ consent, causing further loss estimated at ₦30 million.

Though the court granted bail, Magistrate Oyekanmi imposed strict conditions. The defendant must provide two sureties in the sum of ₦20 million each. The sureties must be close relatives, own verifiable property within the court’s jurisdiction valued at no less than ₦20 million, and be residents in those properties. They must also present valid three-year tax clearance certificates from Oyo State and show evidence of operating businesses within the state. All details provided by the sureties are to be verified before bail can be perfected.

Pending the fulfillment of these conditions, Commander Ajibike remains in custody at the Agodi Correctional Centre.

Police begin Probe into Deleted Phone Data of Tennis Star allegedly shot dead by her Father.

Police investigating the death of 25-year-old tennis player Radhika Yadav are focusing on her iPhone, hoping deleted data may reveal what led to the tragic incident.

Radhika was allegedly shot by her father, Deepak Yadav, 49, inside their Gurugram home last Thursday. He was arrested shortly after and has reportedly confessed. Her phone has been sent to Haryana’s tech department (DITECH) to unlock it and retrieve deleted messages, media, and other content.

Sources say Radhika had deleted her social media accounts days before the shooting, which investigators now see as possibly relevant. A hidden Instagram account linked to Radhika has surfaced, and a close friend, Himaanshika Singh Rajput, has made serious allegations online.

In a viral video, she accused Deepak of premeditated murder, claiming he planned it three days prior, was jealous of Radhika’s rising profile, and had imposed strict rules—curfews, video call check-ins, and emotional control.

Rajput alleged Radhika was mentally drained and had “given up” under pressure from both her family and acquaintances who made misogynistic remarks, including vile suggestions that she be prostituted.

“These taunts fed into his fragile ego,” she claimed. However, Radhika’s family strongly denies the claims. A cousin said, “If there were restrictions, she wouldn’t have travelled, trained kids, or coached.” They insist she was supported in her global tennis career and say the allegations are baseless.

“There’s barely a country she didn’t compete in. Everything—from visas to tickets—was funded by the family,” the cousin added. According to police, Deepak fired five shots—four hit Radhika, three in the back and one in the shoulder. The motive cited includes resentment over taunts that he was “living off her income.” Radhika ran a tennis academy, which reportedly caused friction at home.
