The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has launched five Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) mini-plants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. The plants, named PRIME LNG, NGML/Gasnexus LNG, BUA LNG, Highland LNG, and LNG Arete, will source natural gas from existing pipelines in the area.

The primary supply for these facilities comes from the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) pipeline, a federal government project. The mini-plants aim to expand gas accessibility to regions lacking proper gas infrastructure.
