Madison Keys Stuns Iga Swiatek to Reach Australian Open Final. Read more...

American tennis player Madison Keys pulled off a thrilling comeback to defeat world number two Iga Swiatek in the Australian Open semi-finals. Keys, seeded 19th, won the nail-biting match 5-7, 6-1, 7-6 (10/8) to set up a final showdown with defending champion Aryna Sabalenka.

The match was a rollercoaster ride, with Keys saving a match point and breaking Swiatek's serve eight times. The American broke down in tears after securing the win, which marked her first Australian Open final and only her second Grand Slam final.

Sabalenka, meanwhile, cruised into the final with a straight-sets victory over Paula Badosa. The Belarusian world number one is gunning for her third consecutive Australian Open title, a feat that hasn't been achieved since Martina Hingis in 1999.

Keys predicted a hard-hitting final against Sabalenka, saying, "Definitely some big hitting. I think that is going to happen... Not a lot of long points but she is obviously going for her third Aussie Open and I'm excited to get to play here."
