Tragedy in Ibadan: Motor Apprentice Hospitalised After Tanker Fire Explosion

A heartbreaking incident occurred in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, as a petroleum tanker caught fire, leaving a yet-to-be-identified motor apprentice severely injured and currently hospitalized.
According to @dailypostnigeria, the fire broke out suddenly, engulfing parts of the surrounding area and causing panic among residents and commuters.
Eyewitnesses said the apprentice was working nearby when the explosion occurred. He reportedly sustained serious burns while trying to flee the scene. Emergency services responded promptly, and he was rushed to a hospital where he is now receiving treatment.
“The fire was massive… we thought everyone nearby was gone,” a witness recounted.
