Murtala Muhammed International Airport
Murtala Muhammed International Airport is the largest and busiest airport in Nigeria. It is located in Ikeja, Lagos State, and serves as the main international gateway into the country. Millions of passengers travel through the airport every year for both domestic and international flights.
The airport was named after Nigeria’s former Head of State Murtala Muhammed, who ruled Nigeria in 1975 before he was assassinated in 1976.
