BTS FESTA 2025: ARMYs Paint the City Purple as Supergroup Nears Full Comeback

Dressed in purple and filled with excitement, thousands of BTS fans flooded Goyang, South Korea, on Friday, June 13, to celebrate the K-pop legends’ 12th debut anniversary. With six out of seven members officially discharged from military service, the world is holding its breath for BTS’s long-awaited return to the stage.

The iconic septet has been on hiatus since 2022, fulfilling South Korea’s mandatory military duty. This week, four members rejoined civilian life, while the final member, SUGA, currently on alternative service, is expected to complete his duty next week.

This year’s FESTA celebration, held indoors at a sprawling venue in Goyang, turned the city into a purple wonderland, complete with BTS-themed photo spots and decor. International ARMYs, many donning BTS's signature purple and waving light sticks, traveled from all over the globe to be part of the anniversary.

HYBE’s HQ in Seoul was also buzzing, draped in a massive banner proclaiming: “WE ARE BACK.”

Meanwhile, BTS member J-Hope is set to hold a solo concert on the day of FESTA, with speculation high that other freshly released members could make surprise appearances.

The comeback isn’t just exciting for fans—it’s a game-changer for HYBE, BTS's management label. Analysts predict a 150% surge in profits by 2026, driven by the group’s global tour and rising market demand. Before enlistment, BTS contributed 95% of HYBE’s revenue—a number the agency hopes to reclaim with the reunion.

Even geopolitical tensions seem to be easing. With South Korea’s new leadership and potential thawing of China’s cultural ban, K-pop’s biggest act could be returning to one of its largest international markets.
