Porsha Williams Scores Legal Victory Over Ex Simon Guobadia in Divorce Battle
American TV personality Porsha Williams has secured a major legal win in her ongoing divorce battle with Nigerian-born businessman Simon Guobadia.
After filing for divorce in 2023 over irreconcilable differences, the couple appeared via Zoom for a nearly 10-hour court hearing on June 11, 2025. Despite the lengthy session, the two had no direct interaction.
The judge ruled in Porsha’s favor, upholding their prenuptial agreement and granting her $40,000 in monthly alimony for up to 15 months. She also gets to keep the Rolls-Royce gifted to her by Simon and has partial control of their $7 million Atlanta mansion.
Porsha has until 2027 to decide whether to stay in the home. If she does, she’ll need to refinance and buy out Simon’s 50% share. Until then, Simon will continue footing the mortgage bill.
In a twist, Simon Guobadia was recently deported to Nigeria after U.S. immigration authorities found he had overstayed his visa on multiple occasions.
The drama may be far from over, but for now, it’s a major win for Porsha.
