The Nigerian naira appreciated by N20 against the U.S. dollar in the parallel market on Friday, closing at N1,610/$1, up from N1,630/$1 on Thursday.

In addition to the naira's gain against the dollar, the euro also saw a drop, with the naira closing at N1,655/€1, marking a 0.91% appreciation against the European currency. Meanwhile, the British pound weakened slightly, trading at N2,000/£1, down from N2,010/£1, representing a 0.50% decline.

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) reported an official exchange rate of N1,493/$1 as of Thursday. On Friday, the CBN's rates were listed as N1,507.40/$1 (buying rate) and N1,508.40/$1 (selling rate).
