The UEFA Champions League knockout play-off ties are set for next month, with the eight winners advancing to the last 16 alongside the eight highest-placed teams from the league phase.
In a highly anticipated clash, reigning champions Real Madrid will face 2023 winners Manchester City in the standout tie of the play-off round. This will mark the fourth consecutive year the two teams meet in a knockout tie, with Real Madrid triumphing in a penalty shootout during last season’s quarter-finals.
City, who finished 22nd in the league phase in the first season of the new competition format, will host the first leg before traveling to Spain for the return match.
Other notable matchups include Celtic, who will play Bayern Munich after reaching the knockout stage for the first time in 12 years. Paris Saint-Germain will meet Brest in an all-French tie, while Juventus will face PSV Eindhoven. Additionally, Feyenoord will go up against AC Milan in a tie between two former Champions League winners.
Atalanta, last season's Europa League winners, will face Club Brugge, and Sporting CP will take on Borussia Dortmund. Monaco will play Benfica in a rematch after losing to the Portuguese side in the league phase.
