The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited on Thursday inaugurated five Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) mini-plants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State.

The facilities, named PRIME LNG, NGML/Gasnexus LNG, BUA LNG, Highland LNG, and LNG Arete, will source natural gas from existing pipelines supplying the Ajaokuta area.

The primary feedstock pipeline for these plants is the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) gas pipeline, currently under construction by the Federal Government.

These mini-plants are expected to provide gas to regions lacking gas infrastructure, expanding access to energy across the country.
