INEC Declares APC’s Okpebholo Winner of Edo Gov Election

In a decisive victory, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Osagie Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) the winner of the 2024 Edo gubernatorial election.

Election Results Overview:

Okpebholo, aged 54, secured a total of 291,667 votes, surpassing his closest rival, Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who garnered 247,274 votes. Olumide Akpata of the Labour Party (LP) came in third with 22,763 votes. Notably, fourteen other candidates participated in the election, but none received significant support compared to the leading candidates.
