At least 12 people have been confirmed dead in a tragic multiple auto crash on the Ilorin-Jebba Expressway, Kwara State, near the notorious Oko Olowo axis. The accident, involving a trailer and another vehicle, occurred on Wednesday at around 5:35 pm.

Eyewitnesses reported that the collision, which resulted in several injuries, was caused by reckless driving and excessive speeding. One of the vehicles, transporting cows and passengers, was traveling from Ilorin to Ogbomoso, while the trailer was en route from Lagos to Kano.

Emergency responders and police quickly arrived at the scene, with the injured victims rushed to a nearby hospital. Bodies of the deceased were taken by their families. The cause of the crash is under investigation, and further details are awaited from the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).
