The Kaduna State Police Command has arrested two suspected kidnappers and four armed robbery suspects in separate operations across the state.
According to the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Mansir Hassan, the arrests followed credible intelligence.
In Samaru-Zaria, a police team led by the Divisional Police Officer conducted raids in Zango and Hayin-Jarumai areas, leading to the arrest of four armed robbery suspects: Abubakar Alkamu, Ahmed Isah, Hassan Isah, and Umar Abubakar. A dagger allegedly used in their crimes was recovered. The suspects confessed to multiple robberies, while efforts are ongoing to apprehend other gang members.
Similarly, two suspected kidnappers, Abubakar Ahmadu and Shehu SNU, were arrested in Jere, Kagarko Local Government Area. They confessed to being part of a notorious gang terrorizing the Abuja-Kaduna axis. Recovered items included three mobile phones and ₦158,600.
In another operation, Hunkuyi Division officers recovered 50 stolen cows during a gunfight with suspected cattle rustlers in Dandako Village. The rustlers fled, abandoning the livestock.
The Kaduna Police Command reiterated its commitment to ensuring the safety of lives and property while urging residents to provide timely information on criminal activities.
