A communal clash between the Ndieguzu Agalegu Omege and Ukwu Inyima communities in Ebonyi State has resulted in one death and the destruction of several houses. The violence, which took place over the weekend, stemmed from a fight between two youths. One of them, from Omege, was stabbed and later died from his injuries. This sparked retaliatory attacks, with suspected hoodlums burning down houses. The police intervened, arrested the suspect responsible for the stabbing, and contained the situation. The conflict, which escalated after a previous fight in November 2024, has left over 10 homes destroyed and caused significant property damage.
