Breaking News: Social Critic VeryDarkMan Detained in Abuja

Popular media influencer and social critic Martins Otse, widely recognized as VeryDarkMan, has been detained by the police in Abuja after voluntarily responding to an official invitation on Wednesday.

His lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, confirmed the detention, adding that VeryDarkMan has consistently advocated that “the Nigerian Police are our friends, even though public opinion may suggest otherwise.”

Adeyanju explained, “Our client, VDM, was detained after honoring the police invitation. He has always promoted the idea that the Nigerian Police are our friends, despite prevailing public perceptions.”

Previously, Vanguard reported that VeryDarkMan had apologized to the police for appearing in a video wearing an outfit resembling their uniform. He urged Nigerians to seek permission before wearing items that may resemble official police attire.
