During a ministerial screening in the Senate on Wednesday, Senate President Godswill Akpabio gently reminded Senator Osita Ngwu to focus on credentials rather than personal remarks after Ngwu praised the beauty of nominee Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu. Bianca, along with six other nominees, presented her credentials before the Senate, where she was being considered for the role of Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.

As the question session began, Ngwu, the Senator representing Enugu West District, opened his remarks by complimenting Bianca’s appearance, drawing a light-hearted response from Akpabio.

“Mr. President, the beautiful nominee standing before us…” Ngwu began.

Akpabio quickly interjected with a playful tone, “Stick to the resume, please. She didn’t include her beauty in the CV.”
