Labour Party's (LP) legal adviser, Kehinde Edun, has confirmed that Peter Obi, the party's presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, is still with the Julius Abure camp. This comes despite the crisis rocking the opposition party ¹.
Edun assured party members that the leadership is making efforts to resolve the crisis. He stated that Obi still relates with the Abure-led leadership of the party regularly and has not indicated any intention to leave the party.
The Appeal Court recently ruled that Abure remains the National Chairman of the Labour Party, reaffirming its judgment of November 13, 2024.
