Beatrice Ekweremadu, the wife of Nigeria's former Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, has been released from a UK prison.

Mrs. Ekweremadu had been sentenced alongside her husband and a medical doctor, Dr. Obinna Obeta, by a UK court on charges related to organ harvesting. Her sentence lasted five years before her release.
