Former Minister of Communications, Adebayo Shittu, says President Bola Tinubu will secure surprising levels of support from the Southeast in the 2027 general elections.
Speaking on Arise Television’s Prime Time, Shittu argued that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is gaining ground in the region, crediting Works Minister Dave Umahi and others for swaying sentiment in Tinubu’s favour.
He dismissed the influence of Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, saying: “It doesn’t matter. What is important is for Tinubu to win. Even if to win by 10 votes, I can assure you Bola Ahmed Tinubu is going to win.”
