War Hero’s Abuja Restaurant Demolished Without Notice

Retired Air Commodore Abayomi Balogun, a decorated fighter pilot who served in Liberia and Sierra Leone, has accused the FCDA Development Control of demolishing his Abuja restaurant without notice, allegedly on the orders of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike.

Balogun, founder of the Green Heroes Foundation supporting veterans, said bulldozers destroyed his property while thugs looted valuables. He claimed even his documents were crushed despite pleas for time to evacuate belongings.

The demolition, captured in a viral video, has sparked outrage, with Nollywood veteran Patrick Doyle describing Balogun as “one of Nigeria’s finest fighter pilots” and questioning why a national hero was treated this way.
