Another area that is new with PSO 2 is the cross-platform play. The Japanese variant already has it -- on PC, PS4, Vita, and Switch (and PSO 2es, that's the mobile version), you can play the same character across these different platforms. Now this might not be quite as unique, but eight years back, it was quite revolutionary. For the U.S. version, we have just announced the Windows 10 version in May and you'll have the ability to play Xbox and PC, and we hope in future programs, as well. There is a new story, upgraded features and even a new class to enjoy. Sega has been hyping up the game's next stage with bonuses and rewards for a while, but now there's even more. Episode 5 seems like a significant departure from Episode 4, as there are a lot of new items to experience and a new, high level limit of 90 to reach. Here's what to get excited about in PSO2 Episode 5, and also why to come back if you're tired of battling a ship. The very first Scion Class, Hero, is here. Unlike regular classes, there are prerequisites to unlock Scions, plus they tend to play differently. To perform Hero, you must have any two level 75 classes before speaking to Cofy to unlock it.
Hero plays quite differently from what we've seen before. It can't be utilized as a Sub Class nor possess one, so playing with it means just using Hero. It does have quite an arsenal, however, having the ability to utilize Swords, Twin Machine Guns and Talis efficiently. You can stick to one of the weapons of your choice, but the Class excels when combining all three into devastating combos. Since its a new class, there'll also be a new Hero character to give you a hand and provide you new quests to practice with. A new ability has been added; howeverit takes one to play through the story to unlock any of them. Dark Blast allows players to become one of four Dark Falz, for example Hyunal or even Angel, outfitted with unique, powerful attacks and fans for a limited time. It's kind of like a Photon Blast, but far more impressive as you take on another form. These forms can be leveled up simply by using them, and things can be spent to increase each form's skills.
Episode 5 renders Earth behind and returns to the ARKS universe. Starting from the end of Episode 3, where Persona is trapped in a time loop using all the Profound Darkness, the heroes, you and Matoi, attempt to split Persona out. An anomaly happens, and you end up in a brand new world named Omega situated in a dark hole with new and old characters combating corruption once more. Omega was created with fantasy in your mind. There are dragons, castles, siege-like quests and kingdoms all surrounded by something that they call magical, but gamers will recognize as photons. It sounds just like a different detour from the original few Episodes, however it comes back around to events with Oracle, and a lot of the lore is explained. Just make your way throughout the narrative to find out.
