When EVE Echoes was declared as a"Condensed" variation
days hours remaining
Warp drive...active! They simply continually keep blaming us for this change, like we left it even requested for it.You're goddamn right. I really don't desire EO 2.0, I want portable, can have some short fun with it, EVE.Same ill just go back to Online, and hault my lap top around for mobile play when I'm in work.Time to fire up the Chromebook...
FWIW, EE can only be downloaded one of my Chromebooks (Pixel Slate) and two others. Not it things for Geforce Currently, unless they're skipping some Chromebooks for different reasons...I played with EO consistently for approximately 8 decades, and on-and-off sporadically for the following 3. I've got capital ships, I've got countless isk, I have hit trillions before but lost the drive to drive hard since I gained greater irl responsibilities (having to cover a mortgage really is a bitch let me tell you, I miss my carefree years). I really like EO for a lot of reasons, I don't return to it to get as many reasons, but the main reason is that it's such a time commitment to do anything meaningful.
Then came EE, and it provided what I wanted. Casual EVE. I have been in nigh-endless wars that never seem to actually change front lines that much, I have been the winner, so I have been the failure, I have had huge gains, I've gotten a freighter popped. EVE is enjoyable in so many aspects, and some of my finest memories still revolve round blopdrops, sitting round orbiting a blop for seven hours only to have two moments of popping through the Cyno for a twenty second battle and running out to regroup. To a lot of people, that is lots of wasted time, I did not even get loot. Nevertheless, it was FUN.
EE does not have to be EO. Bubbles are a mistake. Taking away protected afk autopilot is a mistake. We don't want another EO, we have already GOT EO. If we wanted to have several accounts and scout and perform all of the time consuming bullshit inherent with mid-to-high level gameplay in EO, we'd still be on EO. SO MANY OF US are tired of that constant time investment and we can not do it, even if we'd like to. Playing EE has left me need to go look in my own EO account and just twist around in my dreadnought, if it is still around (can not recall where I parked it tbh, might be long gone if I parked it at a corp base, which I am fine with). To advanced, grind fest nightmirror, and waaaaay to much attention was needed alongside a learning curve which blew my head off.
Devs Sold us the notion: When EVE Echoes was declared as a"Condensed" variation on cellular, I got super excited! Just a few buttons, simple learning curve yet still complex enough to be enjoyable, and cartoring to"Mobile" players using AFK traveling (This is a selling point from the devs themselves!) You can AFK, or in case you become disconnected, telephone call, wifi, or even actual life matters suddenly need your attention. They SOLD THIS GAME as a mobile game with the promise it could cater to users. They even emphasized that if you only have a couple of min, log on, ship your boat some where to perform a quick delivery, log away.
Eve some years ago and I wanted nothing to do with it
