Combat Is Quite like PSO2's current combat system, right down to the weapons, Photon Arts and Photon Blasts. It is only faster, more portable and smoother. There are no more Perfect Attacks; instead, it's more like modern action games with combos and counterattacks. Dodging and blocking is more fluid for all classes too. Certain classes may observe a difference in drama. There is no more attacking from the atmosphere indefinitely, therefore expect to be on the floor more dodging and countering. Attacks and PAs are set the same way they are currently with specific buttons performing specific attacks or the 1-2-3 system. As far as PB's go, since Mag's won't be part of gameplay , they behave more like Sophisticated Photon Arts, that were released in Japan's PSO2 with Episode 6. As opposed to summoning a monster, PB's will rather be a huge attack coping serious harm that should be recharged through combat.
Of the three courses they showed, Force had some of the greatest changes. They now have a block similar to Hunters in addition to their dodge, and it can be a much-needed addition as they can be delicate and slowed down by Technique charging. Techniques also have gotten better because they no longer must get charged to use. They finally have an uncharged attack which, although not as powerful as the charged version, still does some fantastic damage.
Another great change is that curing items may be used on the fly. No more getting stuck at a beverage animation hoping to cure only to be promptly smacked and shed all of it without a thing you can do about it. Healing will happen instantaneously in NG while you do more important things, like dodging. Overall, the battle is receiving a much-needed upgrade while still feeling perfectly comfortable.
In Episode 5, after the aid of those on Earth, players discover that a mysterious portal that results in another dimension, known as"Omega." This world appears driven purely by fantasy, a world of magic and swords rather than science and technology. Both worlds are in direct comparison with each other, and as the story progresses, players will frequently move between them while observing the odd similarities these worlds share. Simultaneously, a mysterious girl who calls herself"Alma" appears, and she seems to get information about Omega and--strangely--about ARKS.
Episode 5 brings a great deal of new material and features including increasing the participant level cap to 90, fresh ARKS assignments and areas to explorenew enemy types, fresh quest types with new rewards, fresh seasonal events, new Alliance Quarters, and more. Photon Art and Technique levels will increase, and further Photon Art, Techniques, and Battle Arena weapons will be added.
